With patience, care, and simplicity, I aim to bring families closer together by making everyday tech feel approachable and stress-free. Whether it’s setting up a new device, improving home Wi-Fi, or helping a loved one learn something new, every visit is built on trust, kindness, and genuine support.
How Granny Knows Tech Began
Technology should bring families closer, not cause stress or confusion. That belief is what inspired me to start Granny Knows Tech — and it all began with my 92-year-old grandmother, Rita.
Rita had been using the same analog tube TV for decades, and eventually, it finally broke. She’s never been one for new things or change, so I knew this upgrade had to be handled with patience, care, and most importantly, simplicity. I upgraded her to a smart TV with HD cable and spent two hours sitting with her, walking through every step at her own pace. We sat together going over the remote, her favorite channels, and the new streaming apps.
The best part? To this day, I’ve never gotten a single call saying she couldn’t work the TV. That moment showed me how powerful a patient setup and clear explanations can be. With just a little care, technology can actually simplify life instead of complicating it.
Another reason I started Granny Knows Tech was from helping my own family upgrade their homes into smarter, more connected spaces. From installing mesh Wi-Fi systems over existing coax lines to setting up smart thermostats, security cameras, and other modern home devices, I saw firsthand how much smoother everyday life can be when technology is done right.
Today, I’m proud to bring that same patience and care to families all across Chester County. Technology doesn’t have to be overwhelming — with the right help, it can be warm, simple, and something everyone can enjoy.
